Our Mission as an
organiztion is to provide both training and certification for those interested
in learning a combative system. As we build our organization and membership
grows, it is also part of the task to build some standards or best practices
within the Martial Arts Community.
We would like to see a blending of Philosophy, sharing of Style and continued
development of the combative aspects of Martial Arts.
Our goals are to provide:
Quality of Instruction
Value of Knowledge
Validation of Performance
We provide this in the form of instructional services
and certification for both our students and affiliate dojo & dojangs.
Aiki Bujutsu Ryu, instills a High Standard by employing Best Practices
amongst all its Students & Instructors, focusing on:
• Striving to
achieve a greater personal dynamic
• Gaining Self-understanding of the role you play in the Martial
Arts
• Grasping the true Meaning & Spirit of Combat
• Maintaining a high standard of Etiquette & Courtesy
• Maintaining the Proprietary nature of our Art
• Strengthening One’s Courage, Confidence & Determination
• Reaching a level of understanding and enlightenment
• Growing ones knowledge base through education
We have learned that to develop a student’s
full potential one must nourish the MIND, BODY, SPIRIT
By developing the whole Student Practitioner you
assure longevity and continuity of the System and Style. More importantly
you create a higher quality Bushi (Warrior). These goal &
objectives are key to providing the Student Practitioner the ability to
live the Martial Way (Bushido – Way of the Warrior).
Our Ultimate goal is to provide our (or your) students with lessons and
skills that will apply to their daily lives. The true Bushi (Warrior)
is always prepared mentally and spiritually, walking through life with
eyes wide open and prepared to respond to both combative and non-combative
situations.
"Train Yourself Thoroughly: Once you have
trained yourself well, your body and limbs will move automatically without
any conscious effort. Your mind will not be overwhelmed by your physical
movements. You will employ techniques unconsciously without having to
think. Once you have attained this state of mind, not a single doubt or
hesitation will arise. No opponent, not even the Devil, will find an opportunity
to attack. Train yourself thoroughly and then forget about it. Throw away
your mind. You will follow the “Way” without being aware of
it. This is the mystery of Bushido.”
Yagyu Tajimanokami, Munenori (1571-1647)
We are often asked: How do you achieve
this?
Through dedication, focus and attending class as often as possible. Training
should include not only the body, but also the mind, conditioning
both to become a collective instinct.
Why?
Because
over time and through continued training, the Bushi develop an understanding
of how technique will be applied in an elevated situation.
